is exploring the relationship between humans and nature during spring 2020, which has been shaped by the global pandemic of COVID-19. 

An exceptional situation in which human rights are limited by "social distance" and dealing with "lock-downs" in many parts of the world. Imagine if all people were to become more and more aware of what nature is teaching us? What happens when the forces of nature include the human being as a whole in the circle of life from birth to death?

For me, spring is a natural phenomenon in which nature begins to open to new life and blossoms in its awakening. The peeling of my self from the bark reflects for me the current human need for hope.

"b(d)ark" is my contribution to the digital spring conference #ArtsForSpring of the "Stiftung Nantesbuch", next to a fascinating pool of 100 artists, who made this event a diverse and artistic pleasure with their thoughts about spring.
